It was my hubby's first birthday after our marriage.
I wanted to make a 3D Pop Up Card with letters popping up in cake shape but I didn't find any templates online. All I found was simple happy birthday pop up card template and I worked with it. Here is the end result.
I found basic Happy Birthday pop up template here. I created a mirror image of the template in Microsoft Word (Because I wanted to make markings on backside of card but not front).
I drew some horizontal lines and made some markings on white card stock to make letters form cake shape. Next I started aligning letters from template on to markings i made and scored with pencil on the template so that I could catch letters impression on card stock as shown in picture.
Then I worked with cuts and creases.
Stuck the cut white card stock onto red card stock.
For the card front i cut hearts from colorful scrapbook papers and stuck them on white cardstock. (This part was inspired by one of my pins on pinterest) I used floral wires as stems to give that 3D effect.
Added few words I wanted to tell him using label maker I had.
Yay!!! Did it :)
And I baked this lovely homemade chocolate ganache cake and decorated it with strawberries :) Trust me, it was delicious ;)
I Love to hear your comments. Thank you for stopping by.
