Recently, I fell in love with decorating cakes. When I came across this gorgeous chocolate lace tutorial, I just fell in love at first sight. My brain started stirring me up with bucket full of ideas and here is one of those for you, simple way to personalize and decorate cupcakes for any occasion using chocolate.
I made these cupcakes for my friend's son first Birthday. I am so happy she loved them.
Here is the procedure for you:
3. Pour melted choclate into a ziploc bag and make a tiny little hole at one of the bottom corners of bag.
5. Now apply continuous gentle pressure on the ziploc bag cone and trace the letters or designs with chocolate on parchment or wax paper. Hey don't judge me yet ;) I am sure with little practice I can do better than that at writing.
2. Take wilton candy melts or any chocolate chips in a bowl and melt them in microwave. It takes about 1 min to melt and remember to stir after every 30 secs.

If the chocolate starts hardening in the bag it interrupts the flow. Just pop back the chocolate into microwave for 15 secs and you can resume your work.
6. Carefully place the wax paper on a plate and keep in the freezer.
7. It takes about 15 mins for your designs to set. (Leave it longer if you have time.)

8. Once they are set, gently lift the edible designs off the parchment or wax paper and transfer onto your cupcakes. (Make sure your hands are not hot when you handle chocolate in this step.)
(As the chocolate writings were very thin I was worried that chocolate might melt back at room temperature but they didn't atleast for 3 hours, just in case you are stuck with same doubt.)
I am a beginner at baking, so I went ahead and made cup cakes with my favorite Betty crocker super moist chocolate fudge cake mix. ( I am not paid to say this but I just love how fluffy and moist the Betty crocker super moist cake mixes turn out.)
And I made simple butter cream frosting following this recipe.
I used a star tip to frost my cup cakes.
Here is everything put together.
Don't they look lovely, delicious and yummy???

In case you need a cupcake carrier, do consider checking your dollar store. I just love my 1$ cupcake carrier.
